MicMap

About MicMap

A directory of open mics — where they are, when they happen, and how to get on the list.

Open mics are the backbone of the live performance ecosystem. They're where new acts find their voice, working performers keep sharp, and audiences see tomorrow's headliners for the price of a drink (sometimes less). The problem: the schedule lives in Instagram stories, group chats, and word of mouth — easy to miss, easy to break.

MicMap is a community-maintained map of those rooms. Hosts can claim their mic and keep the info accurate. Performers can save favorites and see what's on tonight. Audiences can find a real, live show without having to know someone. We're launching with comedy and plan to grow into other open mic scenes (music, poetry, storytelling) from there.

We're launching in Buffalo, NY

The first city is Buffalo. We'll grow city by city as hosts and comics submit rooms in their towns. If you want MicMap in your city, start by adding a mic — that's usually enough to kick things off.

House rules

  • Be accurate. If a mic moves or dies, edit the listing or report it.
  • Hosts get the final word on their listings — sign up and tick "I host this mic".
  • No spam, no fake mics, no harassment. Reports go to a human.
